NOW SOLD Vintage TEAK DESK Esjing Mobelfabrik DENMARK Label

NOW SOLD For sale here is fantastic desk with 3 drawers. The desk is done in a rich teak wood and is labeled Ejsing Mobelfabrik Denmark. . I am unfamiliar with the label or maker, however it is clear the designer was clearly influenced by Arne Vodder and his stunning desks . This desk is finished front and back so it can be used up against a wall or centred in a room or space. The 3 side drawers provide plenty of storage. The dovetail drawer construction, sculptural drawer pulls, tapered legs and stunning grain selection for the top , also scream classic mid-century modern Danish design. The measurements for the desk are as follows: It measures 39 ¼ inches long, the 23 ¼ inches wide, and 29 inches tall. The desk does have some condition issues, There is an older veneer chip to one drawer front that someone has made an attempt to repair (it could probably be done better with someone with some skills) . There are also some filled screw holes to one side panel and a screw still in the back side just under the desk top. (can be seen in the pictures) The teak top has taken on a warm patina and highlights the fantastic matching grain patterns of the top. Not perfect by any means, but still a very nice vintage piece. This is a tour de force of the functional austere design that is so typical of the Mid Century Danish / Scandinavian Modern design movement. It also would greatly compliment any Eames Mid Century styled living space, or adding a slightly retro accent to any contemporary room. Don’t miss ouT NOW SOLD

NOW SOLD For sale here is a Vintage Display Hutch / cabinet done in a rich teak wood. Manufactured by Clausen and Son of Silkeborg Denmark, it features two sliding smoked glass doors, as well as two adjustable teak shelves for each of the two display spaces The measurements for the Hutch is 71 inches long, 27 ¾ inches tall and 11 ¾ inches wide. It was designed to be free standing as shown, or to sit atop a sideboard or credenza. The piece has had some damage. The outside bottom edges of the sides have had some veneer chipping that someone has done a poor job in trying to repair, as well as a veneer chip to to the top that again someone has made an attempt at repairing. Outside of that it is a nice piece. If you have some skill at refinishing I am sure a much better job can be done fixing those repairs, I have taken that into account when pricing this piece. This would look great in any office or just as a day to day storage piece. Functional austere design that is so typical of the Danish / Scandinavian Modern design movement.

NOW SOLD Vintage Teak Architects DESK Labeled Esjing Mobelfabrik DENMARK

NOW SOLD For sale here is fantastic Architects desk with 4 drawers, and two cubby shelves perfect for larger rolled documents and drawings. As I mentioned this is an architects desk (it came from the estate of an architect), and it has the unique design feature for having cubby shelves on both the front and back that are designed to hold larger rolled technical drawings and documents. The back cubby does have a spot of darker discoloration, shown in the pictures. The 4 side drawers provide plenty of storage. The dovetail drawer construction, sculptural drawer pulls, tapered top edges and stunning grain selection for the top , also scream classic mid-century modern Danish design. The measurements for the desk are as follows: It measures 51 inches long, the 26 inches wide, and 28 ¾ inches tall. The desk is in fantastic vintage condition. The desk shows some minor general use wear here and there consistent with a well cared for piece of this age. It does have a few light scuffs at the bottoms of the legs, and two small filled nail or screw holes on the side of one of the cross braces on the side (can be seen in the pictures). The teak has taken on a warm patina that can only come with age and proper care over the years and highlights the fantastic matching grain patterns of the top. This is a tour de force of the functional austere design that is so typical of the Mid Century Danish / Scandinavian Modern design movement. It also would greatly compliment any Eames Mid Century styled living space, or adding a slightly retro accent to any contemporary room.
