NOW SOLD !!!!Danish Made Teak Dinning Table Circa 1960s

THIS IS NOW SOLD!!!!For sale here is a very unique Danish Made Vintage Teak Table. Made by the Ellegaards Mobelfabrik of Denmark, this piece was imported and sold through the specialty retail shop The Danish House in Montreal (as indicated by the paper label on the underside of the table.) This is a vintage piece and the previous owners told me their parents bought it sometime in the 1960’s in Montreal (which does match up with the label as well). It is a piece with fantastic minimalist details and lines. The tapered edges are a particularly nice touch. It also features that superior craftsmanship that the Danish Cabinetmakers were known for throughout the world during this time. The table does have two extendable leaves at either end that tuck away nicely when not in use and slide out easily for the times when extra company pops by. It measures 55 1/4 inches long when the leaves are away and 95 ¼ inches long when the leaves are slid out. It measures 35 ½ inches wide and 28 ½ inches tall. The nice thing is how easy it is to slide the leaves out and into place, one person can do it alone, and it only takes a few seconds. The main table surface has developed that rich dark patina that can only come with age and proper care. The leaves are slightly lighter as is the case with most table leaves as they have not had the same exposure to air as the main top. It does have a few light older surface scratches nothing that really stands out and is to be expected from general use over the years. Again it is a vintage piece and I have taken that into account in the pricing. This would look great in any apartment or loft, where maximizing space is a concern. This screams functional austere design that is so typical of the Danish / Scandinavian Modern design movement. It also would greatly compliment any Eames Era Mid Century modern living space, or add a sligtly retro accent to any contemporary room. This is the real thing not one of the many inferior non Danish made knocks offs that were produced in the 60’s and 70’s through out Canada and the USA.

NOW SOLD 3 Solid Teak Dinning Chair Labeled Danish Vintage Circa early 1960's

THESE ARE NOW SOLDFor sale here are three stunning vintage Solid teak dinning chairs. Each chair is stamped “Made In Denmark” on the bottom. Although these chair do not have a makers label on them it is clear whoever designed them clearly was influenced by the contemporary designs of Han Wegner, Arne Vodder Peter Hvidt & Finn Juhl. The frames are constructed out of solid teak, with fantastic sculptural lines. The frame does have a few spots of honest usage wear, but nothing abusive at all. They have developed that fantastic patina that can only come with age. No tears or rips or tears in the upholstery. As for the age of these, the people I bought them off said they recall their parents saying they purchased these chairs and a teak table sometime in the late 1950’s early 1960’s in Montreal. I do have the table as well (will eventually be sold separately here as time allows) and it has an import label from Denmark to a Danish design import store called The Danish House Place Ville Marie, Montreal 2. So I think the story holds up and these are true vintage pieces, not some of the later 1970’s pieces that were of lower quality. Each chair measures 18 ½ inches wide, 17 inches deep (measured off the wall), and is 31 ½ inches high at the back. The seat itself measures 18 inches high at the knee. If you are looking for quality vintage classic Danish Modern design these are the real deal. NOW SOLD

THIS IS NOW SOLD 1960 Solid WALNUT Walter NUGENT C-15 Arm CHAIR Vintage Canadian Late Mid Century Modern Icon

THIS IS NOW SOLD For sale here is a stunning vintage Solid walnut Arm / Lounge chair. This chair designed by Walter Nugent , arguably one of the greatest Canadian Mid Century Modern designer, is deceptively simple in its lines and form. Although this piece has its own unique stance, there are similarities to chairs done by Jens Risom (especially the arm rests). The frame is constructed out of solid walnut, done in an oiled gloss finish. I do not believe that the upholstery is original, but has been professionally recovered in this ultra sued at some point in its past. Fully labeled and dated 1960 patent pending. No tears or rips in the upholstery, but it could do with a good cleaning. The back does have a zipper so the cover can be removed and cleaned, or easily re-upholstered in a fabric to match your décor. The frame does have some scratches, but I have taken this into account in the price. It measures 25 inches wide, 23 inches deep (measured off the wall), and is 32 ½ inches high at the back. The seat itself measures 18 inches high at the knee, and the arm rests are 26 inches tall

NOW SOLD Solid Teak Vladimir KAGAN style Sculptural Arm / Lounge Chair

THIS NOW SOLD here is a stunning Solid Teak Arm / Lounge chairs with sculptural arm rests. One glance at the flowing sculptural frame and arms of this Solid Teak lounge chair brings to mind the classic chairs designed by Vladimir Kagan. Although this piece lacks labels and I have not been able to find the designer of this piece, they were clearly influenced by Kagans work. I believe the upholstery on this piece to be original. No tears or rips, but does display some wear from general usage near the headrest. It measures 26 inches wide, 29 inches deep (measured off the wall), and is 34 inches high at the back. The seat itself measures 16 inches high at the knee, and the arm rests are 21 inches tall. This would greatly compliment any Eames Era Mid Century modern living space, or add a slightly retro accent to any contemporary room. Sold

NOW SOLD LABELED Florence KNOLL Slipper CHAIR Original

NOW SOLD Here is a Florence Knoll designed Classic Slipper Lounge chair. I have also seen these referred to as Parallel Bar Lounge Chairs. The original fabric is free from rips, tears, or stains. The foam is still soft and like new. The stainless steel frame is free from rust, and has minimal use wear. The chair retains it’s original label. I have shown a close up picture of the label. It is an early style of the Knoll label (1950’s era label so I have been told). This is a classic of 1950’s design. It would feel right at home on the set of Mad Men. It is stylish and very comfortable. This is the real thing not one of the many inferior knocks offs that were produced in the 60’s and 70’s. It would look great in any retro / mid century modern decorated space. The modernist clean lines also lend themselves well to any contemporary room.
