SOLD!! Pair of Thonet Arm Chairs

THESE ARE NOW SOLD A beautiful pair of bentwood amr chairs by Thonet New York. I beleive the blondwood is birch and the seat and back are mahogony (i am not 100% sure of either). Each chair stands 32 1/2 high at the back and 18 inches high at the seat. The arms are 27 inches high. Each chair is 21 1/4 inches at it's widest point and sits 19 1/2 inches deep back to front. NOW SOLD. I have 6 of these available in total. Seat height is 19 inches, arm height is 27 inches, back height is 33 inches. Chair width is 25 1/2 inches at it's widest part, and the chair stands 26 inches in depth (off the wall).

NOW SOLD Although this piece is unlabeled it is quite clearly influenced by the Arteluce and Lightolier tri-light designs of the mid-1950's. The marble base is marked Made in Italy. NOW SOLD Danish Modern Walnut Hide-a-Desk

NOW SOLD here is a very unique Cabinet that opens up into a fantastic desk and work space complete with shelves, drawers and a desk lamp. It is finished in a rich walnut wood on the exterior and desk top, while the other interior components are finished in what appearst to be a blonde beech or possibly maple wood. It measures 32 ¼ inches wide by 21 ¼ inches deep, and is 45 inches tall WHEN CLOSED. When it is OPENED UP it measures 64 ½ inches wide and 31 inches deep with the desk pulled out. On the back near the bottom there is the remenants of a Danish Furniture Controll label. This would look great in any office or appartment were maximizing space is a concern. This screams functional austere design that is so typical of the Danish / Scandinavian Modern design movement.

SOLD Chicklet Sofa Designed by Ray Wilkes for Herman Miller SOLD

THIS IS NOW SOLD Here is a vintage sofa / loveseat designed by RAY WILKES and produced by HERMAN MILLER . Designed by Ray Wilkes, in the late 1970’s for Herman Miller. Called “Chiclet” because the individual pieces resemble large pieces of Chiclet gum. Ray, originally from England, earned a design degree from the Royal College of Art in London in 1961 and was awarded an American Travel Scholarship. He became acquainted with Herman Miller when he worked in New York with George Nelson. It measures 57 inches long, 28 inches high at the back and 16 inches high at the seat. It is approximately 28 inches deep off the wall. The fabric is original and has no tears or pulls. The cushioning has no hardening and is still spongy. The original label is still attached and the Herman Miller stamp is on the support bar at the bottom as well. THIS IS NOW SOLD
